Massage at The Stillpoint

When was the last time You felt truly, deeply relaxed?

The Stillpoint philosophyThe Stillpoint Philosophy

  • I believe that a massage can be both relaxing and remedial.
  • I believe that a massage can be effective without being too painful.
  • I work on the Chinese principal of “Good Pain ” and rely on my clients to guide me in the appropriate amount of pressure they need.
  • I believe it is important to listen to my clients and find out what they need on each particular day.
  • I believe it is important to have a wide range of skills available, so that each massage session can be designed to best meet your needs.
  • Massage should not be just a “treat” or an emergency fix. For me, massage is an integral part of looking after myself, and has been for the past 35 years.

Massage improves muscle tone and function, helps clear toxins from the body, can help reduce blood pressure, release stress and improve physical, mental and emotional well-being.

Remedial Massage

My remedial massage practice is now based around Emmett Technique as I have found it fast, effective and gentle on the body. Emmett can effect significant change in a single treatment, but is also cumulative when addressing chronic problems.

Combined with general Swedish massage, dynamic cupping, acupressure and myofascial release techniques, my aim is to relieve muscle tightness, imbalance and discomfort, leaving your body feeling strong, stable and flexible.
